Custom Enamel Commission

Each commission is a one-of-a-kind miniature, handcrafted in vitreous enamel on copper. Whether you arrive with a clear image or just a feeling, we work it out together before anything goes near the kiln. 

Available techniques

• Wet packing - glass powders packed onto copper and fired for a smooth, painterly finish.
• Cloisonné - fine silver wire bent into your design, cells filled with enamel and fired. The most intricate option.
• Experimental - open to process, letting the kiln decide. Well suited to abstract or texture-led ideas.
• Pencil drawing - drawn directly onto the enamel surface for a delicate, graphic quality.
